THE RESULTS
Over the three-year implementation period a 60%+ Increase in Revenue, a 65%+ Increase in Operating Profit, a 35%+ Increase in Average Daily Rate, a 50%+ Increase in RevPAR and c.75% Occupancy, increased from the high-60% range.
Weddings and events developed into one of the hotel’s principal growth engines, generating additional accommodation, food and beverage revenue while improving the utilisation of function space throughout the year.
The programme also delivered stronger forecasting, improved labour productivity, greater cost control, enhanced commercial discipline and more consistent management accountability.
CREATING LONG-TERM OWNER VALUE
The pathway created a stronger, more resilient and more valuable business, underpinned by a clearly defined premium market position, higher-quality earnings, improved cash generation and a scalable commercial and operating model. With a clear roadmap for future growth and investment, the hotel was better positioned to deliver sustainable returns while enhancing its long-term asset value and appeal to future investors.
THE BUELL DIFFERENCE
The additional bottom line profit and increased asset value were not created by one initiative alone.
It came from identifying opportunities across revenue, operations, food and beverage, weddings and events, marketing, financial performance and market positioning, and bringing them together within one coordinated Buell Value Pathway Plan.
